Movember Target Smashed...

Dyer Environmental Controls Ltd have just released that they smashed their company target of £1000 for Movember and men’s health.  The six amigo’s did Dyer proud and by the end of Movember some of them looked quite normal.  The girls ran the Manchester 5K in support and times were not too shabby.

Definitely going to repeat the process next year and would welcome your support!  Come on you know you want to really - it’s a virility thing!

Row, row, row your boat...

Dyer recently formed a 16 strong team to take part in the 2012 Salford Boat Race. The day was in aid of Royal Manchester Children's Charity and although glory was not ours, effort was tremendous.

More than disappointing weather was forecast, arrival was prompt and enthusiasm rife! The Solis rugby shirts were distributed and team one selected (team one gave us the chance to identify the strongest... and weakest for teams two and three). Safety instruction was paramount and the ability to swim only mentioned once. Team one were primed and ready to set sail.

As a practice run, not too shabby at all. Opinions of technique were strong - not to say we needed to do better. Races two and three were improvements but no medals were won!

A great day was had by all and many thanks to those who supported the event.
